San Luis Obispo, CA – Spokes, the non-profit resource center for the Central Coast is excited to announce that Phillips 66, the 1,780-acre Santa Maria Refinery located adjacent to State Highway 1 on the Nipomo Mesa, has become a donor/partner with a gift of $2,500.
“We are grateful to have Phillips 66 as the first scholarship donor to Spokes,” said Lesley Santos Dierks, CEO, Spokes. “By sponsoring a scholarship, Phillips 66 is able to gift our training and consulting service to Guadalupe-Nipomo Dunes Center, a favorite charity and neighbor. The sponsorship empowers both Spokes and the Dunes Center to achieve our respective missions. It’s a win-win opportunity,” Dierks said.
“Phillips 66 has a strong relationship with the Dunes Center, said Jerry Stumbo, Santa Maria Refinery Manager. We share the Center’s interest in education and environment stewardship. By supporting Spokes we assist the Dunes Center as it continues to grow and refine its operation. It’s a great collaboration,” Stumbo said.
