Those who know me well, know where to find me on most Saturday afternoons – listening and laughing to one of my favorite NPR radio shows, “Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me!” If you don’t know it, it’s a great game show where comedians and celebrities are quizzed about current events. The host, Peter Sagal, has a razor sharp wit. I come to the end of every show wishing it would last another hour. And, if that wasn’t reason enough to love Peter, I also learned that he shares a passion for nonprofits and development work!
Yep. Turns out that Peter is a skilled fundraiser! And, on Tuesday, May 14 at 9AM PT, The Chronicle of Philanthropy will host a live interview with him titled, “Making Your Mission Fun: a Discussion With Peter Sagal.” Peter will offer tips on how to add humor to your messaging and fundraising efforts. After all, the nonprofit world can always use a little more laughter. So, mark your calendar, grab an afternoon treat, find a comfy spot to relax and tune in as I will for what promises to be an entertaining and enlightening discussion!
