An Initiative to Increase Philanthropic Engagement on Giving Tuesday
We have a day for giving thanks. We have two for getting deals. Now we have #GivingTuesday – a global initiative engaging communities to celebrate generosity and giving back. And on December 1st, the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, we are bringing it home and introducing a new tradition, #GiveSLO.
Spokes has partnered with the Downtown Association, local businesses, local media and local nonprofits to make #GiveSLO the greatest thing since gingerbread house kits. We aim to generate philanthropy for our members while also stimulating the local holiday shopping scene. Pretty great, huh?
You may not have a team of elves available to help your organization start approaching local businesses about partnering with you for the #GiveSLO campaign. Don’t worry.
